Strengthening microbial balance: early and rapid establishment of beneficial flora at the expense of potentially pathogenic flora
This study demonstrated the positive impact of ProbioactiFAP® on the early and rapid establishment of the digestive microbiota in the caeca and cloaca of ducks, resulting in a significant decrease in caecal pathogen concentration regardless of the duck's age. These effects of ProbioactiFAP® supplementation on the implantation of beneficial digestive flora at the expense of pathogenic flora may be correlated with the demonstrated effects on strengthening the intestinal barrier observed in preclinical studies. The results of this study were presented at the SEPALM (Centre for the Selection of Foie Gras Waterfowl) technical conference in 2002 (Zadjian and Delporte, 2002).
