Promoting a rich and diverse microbiota from birth
Metagenomic analyses reinforce the evidence of ProbioactiFAP® efficacy in reducing neonatal calf diarrhea as observed by veterinarians (Faubladier & Guin, JNGTV 2017). A study conducted on 100 calves (397 fecal samples) confirms the significant impact of ProbioactiFAP® supplementation administered at birth on the early establishment of a rich, diverse, and functional microbiota from the 1st day of life and for 5 days, regardless of the birth method, natural or cesarean (Save et al, Veterinary Thesis 2021 - JNGTV Poitiers, EBC Berlin 2023). Various ProbioactiFAP® solutions have been designed to take over during the milk-feeding phase, to facilitate calf development and limit the frequency and intensity of diarrhea until weaning.
