Earlier and more rapid colonization by beneficial bacterial genera at the expense of potentially pathogenic ones
This study, conducted in partnership with GTV Bourgogne and Dr. Bertrand Guin, confirmed the benefits of ProbioactiFAP® in newborn calves for significantly and favorably influencing the microbial colonization of the digestive tract. The earlier and more rapid establishment of beneficial bacterial genera, such as Lactobacilli, correlated with a lasting decrease in potentially pathogenic genera measured in supplemented calves, could contribute to the prevention of diarrhea of both dietary and bacterial origin.
The results of this trial were presented at the "Rural" workshop of the 2016 GTV Bourgogne Technical Day during the conference titled "Establishment of the digestive microbiota in calves: benefits of ProbioactiFAP®. What does metagenomics teach us?" (Faubladier & Guin, 2016).
